BIOGRAPHY

Hailing from the birthplace of turntablism and hip hop, Phresh implements the strength of his aggressive Bronx technique and applies that to all genres of music. Listening to hip hop at a young age sparked his interest in a variety of other global themes. His discovery of world music, his skill in spinning house beats, and his open format embracing all genres is truly what sets him apart within the industry. Phresh also attributes growing up in New York City and his multicultural childhood to his open-minded musical influences.

His music career began in 1996 while working with the Promotions Team of recording label, Roc-A-Fella Records. This position opened the doors for Phresh and gave him access to artists and DJs that he had admired from an early age. His time with the company was, in essence, a hands-on tutorial on the record industry and the first step in pursuing a serious career in the industry.

What initially started out as a release and escape from the day-to-day rigors of city life, turned into a profession that has enabled him to perform all over the country and world. As a budding talent, Phresh’s cultured ear for music and perfectionism paved the path to his international success as a DJ, playing at world-renowned venues in Cabo San Lucas to weddings in the Bahamas. While garnering a reputation as one of the city’s most sought-after talents, DJ Phresh continues to expand his love of music, while spinning all over the world giving club and partygoers the perfect music experience
